I hope the sun is shining on you wherever you are.
I have a new challenge for you all!
I have just adopted a little kitten who was abandoned by her owners. I have found really good homes for two of them but have decided to keep this little girl.
She is Angora (long haired) tortoiseshell coloured. Four to five weeks old and absolutely adorable.
I am having trouble naming her.
Please could you let me know what names you like for female cats and I will let you know when I finally decide what to call her.
Looking forward to hearing all your names, as unusual as you like!
We used to have a coupla girls - Mishka and Holly. Now both passed. We rescued a brother and sister last year, they were called Duke and Duchess, but are now called Odin and Perry. Or Pewwwy as my three year old calls her. He pulls her all over the place, squashes her, and yanks at her fur. Sheās never swiped at him. (And no, we donāt encourage it and we do tell him off. Not our first rodeo x2) Had two boys before, Chevez and Nickademius, the former still with us, so d & d didnāt really fit name wise. ā¦ so names - we like Lokiā¦ Scully ? Although our cats get called different names tooā¦no, not like that, though one of them killed the laptop today by throwing up on it overnight. ā¦
I went with Roman & Geek gods after I was given āRomanā because he was found on roman laneā¦ I went with Zeus s I just liked it more. Then I got a female so went with Minerva (Minnie for short) Aā few names can be shortened like that
My mum had two tabby cats called Bubble and Squeak. Squeak passed quite young, but Bubbles hung on for years and became quite infamous at our local vets - for the wrong reasons. ā¦
im quite literal, so Cat (Catherine if posh), fluffy), patchy (tortoiseshell), or whatās she like (greedy, sweetie etc) not much help really, Doris, Edna, Elsie (just nice names)
My little feral cat - is called Eartha Kitt - tiny she might be - but such a good rat catcher. lf only she would not bring her ācatch of the dayā into my bedroom. She jumps in throught the bathroom window - off the leanto roof. Or she climbs up to my balcony and through the door or window - which is always open.
l love her to bits - and worth all the time it took to ātameā her as she was so wild as a kitten. She sleeps on top of me at night. Sometimes coming in soaked through - like last night.
Sorry been so long in coming back. Big story short. Massive problems with our computer, then internet then couldnāt sign in here. Anyway I am back.
We still have not decided on a name for the kitten. Nothing seems to stick. She is still Kitty. Eating from a bowl now, but still musing the dogās bowl for her water. Wonāt accept drinking the same water from a bowl her size!
Take care all and thanks for all the name suggestions
We were also thinking of Cyd. As in Cyd Charisse. ā¦ Or Sid Vicious as she is! She is just learning to be a cat that is all, but those tiny claws and that tiny mouth do some damage I can tell you! She will call down soon. So the jury is out. I like Kitty thoughā¦
Our five kittens were born on May 1st. They were called Hal, Tow, Rumbelow, Smokey Joe and Fiver. The first three were named from the chorus of a Mayday song (āHal and tow, jolly Rumbelow, we were up long before the day-oā). Smokey Joe was black with white under fur, and Fiver was, well, fifth.
People assume that Rumbelow was named after the electrical store!
