Margate

Hello.

Yesterday I made it to Margate. It was almost spontaneous. It’s a fair old drive from Crowborough so we could only stay for a bit. But I got round the Turner Contemporary.

best wishes, Steve.

Hi Steve

Really enjoyed this blog, like you I am a lover of the seaside, going right back to my childhood. I remember when Mum and Dad would take me and my big sister to Weston for the day, long before motorways, and there was an incline and when you reached the top, in the distance you could see the sea on the horizon. I could never contain my excitement, the butterfly feeling in your tummy, I still get that today!

I could stay on the beach all day, watching the waves, gently breeze, smell of the sea, and the salty taste on your lips, well I just love it all.

Never been to Margate, perhaps one day, have a good weekend.

Hello Michelle, we were on a tight schedule so it was a quick into the gallery and out after two hours. Maybe another time when I have more time it’ll be possible.

Best wishes, Steve x

I wrote a whole long post and lost it, sorry I missed you how was the Turner exhibition? I have taken up painting read about it here

http://disableddon.blogspot.co.uk/2016/10/learning-to-paint-with-water-colours.html it’s a bit like being back in art lessons at school, I don’t think I will be exhibiting at the Turner contemporary anytime soon but it wastes a few hours and time is something I have in abundance. If you come down again be great to meet up.

Don

Hello Don.

It was a quick in and out job last week. But I have to rely on friends for lifts. It’s not out of the question.

Best wishes, Steve.
