I went to Chester last night aftwr school with Isabelle and Frazer .When the train arrived it had only two carriages and was packed . The guard let everyone waiting on and told me and isabelle and Frazer that there was no room for us. The guards are usually lovely but this one was blunt and had an unpleasent tone. Anyway I found my voice and told him that it was disability discrimination and I would report him , Frazer gave a few barks for good measure too . He soon moved every one up , and nobody minded at all . We stayed in the doorway till we got to chester but I’d didn’t mind . I must be getting more assertive, I wasn’t going to be left behind. Aww, that’s awful but I’m so glad you found some assertiveness (& Frazer too) well done you.
That’s great that he finally saw sense but what a horrible man, I think I might still be inclined to report him as what’s to say he won’t do it again to someone else who can’t find the assertiveness that you did.
I’m sure the other passengers didn’t mind in the first place.

Oooooohhhhhh, I’m getting red just thinking about it.
I tolerate nothing. Any sign of discrimination gets reported as does anything of merit. But there is a general standard and that guard failed in his duty of care.
At Euston last month the woman in assisted travel told me there was no time to get on the train. I copied her name down and said “I’ll be waiting outside coach D”. I got my train.
There were two British Gas vans blocking the pavement the other day so I photographed them and put it on their facebook page. The reply was almost instant. Photos and FB pages-love 'em.

Thanks, I’ve just put in a complaint. I wasn’t going to but he made me feel so cross, the old me would have just gone home upset. It shouldn’t happen to any of us . It’s hard enough pushing ourselves to do things when we are so tired and have own health difficulties without having ignorant people making life harder. Not only that but I felt for my 15 year old daughter, she already has to cope with hardship being embarrassed at times by Molly’s antics (autism related) we love Molly. But last time I remember seeing her crying when I’d struggled in Manchester with the taxi drivers,… and they were trying to help. but everyday we seem to have situations where people stare…I’m thick skinned but she often tells me that I’m shaking after a run in with the public. On Friday she surprised me , she told me how proud she was that I stood up to him, and we both laughed when Frazer barked loudly. Michelle and Frazer xx

Good on you Michelle. You can grow an extra few inches & Frazer deserves a treat for his awareness. Instead of a disability badge, we should get knuckle dusters & a licence to use them. Terry
Yes Terry , or accidently run over their foot …that usually does the trick…you’ve got to laugh . Frazer usually has a way of getting them back …he gives a big shake and covers them in slimey drool…and then grins at me as if to say " look what ive done mum ". Michelle and Frazer xx
