No man's land

I have been experiencing ms type pain and sensory disturbances in my limbs for a years father an attack last October. I have had detailed MRI scans of the brain and spine to look for lesions. None detected. Nerve conduction tests were normal. They found a narrowing in my cervical c4 and a bulging disc at c5. The doctors are not convinced that the cervical stenosis is causing me these neurological problems.

Any help would be appreciated on the next course of action

Have you still got the symptoms? How long has it been since u had them? My MRI came back clear last year too. But Ive had a relapse again this year while visiting a hot country. I’m waiting to see the neuro again. Maybe if the symptoms have gone you could just wait. If not maybe the GP could prescribe you a neurological pain killer? I heard they are good for pain.

Thanks for your response. I still have pain in my thighs. I don’t have electrical pulses that run down my spine when I flex my neck, which is a fairly common occurrence with cervical demyelination. I also have no optic or cognitive problems.

I stay away from the anti-depressants and anti-convulsive medication because I don’t see any real benefits and the side effects of the drugs are not pleasant.

I am am going to see the neuro if any further tests are required
