Just me?

Hello

I was diagnosed with MS nearly 20 years ago and have been injecting Copaxone for about 15 years. My M.S has been pretty stable but I have a review with my Neurologist next week as I feel that old symptoms of numbness, dizziness and a general feeling of being unwell most of the time have reared their head again.

I had my first Astrazenca vaccine in February and to be perfectly honest, haven’t felt very well since. I feel as though my entire immune system has gone haywire and into overdrive and my M.S symptoms have increased rapidly. I expected an immune response following the vaccine but not to this extent. I’m due to get my second in May but feel very concerned as to how it has affected me so far.

I know lots of people have not been affected at all and have only had the expected reaction of flu-like symptoms and a sore arm at the injection site but just wondered if anyone else had had a similar reaction to me?

HI Vicky I am also on Copaxone - have been for a few years. I have been relatively stable - no relapses or major symptoms.

I had my first Astrazeneca vaccine a few months ago with a fever that paracetamol helped with. After a day I was fine.

Had my second Astrazeneca about a week ago and now have a host of symptoms, mainly sensory that I recognise as symptoms I had when first diagnosed with MS. Spoke to my nurse today and she says she has had a few calls from MS patients with symptoms after their second vaccine.

Hope you are feeling better now. How have you got on with your second vaccine?
