A few days ago, our trusty old cooling fan gave up the ghost…it had been on almost 48 hours with last week`s heatwave.
It died…just coughed, spluttered and died! It had given 10 years loyal service…2 minutes silence followed.
Hubby quickly ordered a replacement from Argos…it arrived same day…well, for heavens sake...it looked like it would be at home in a dolls house…ok a biggish doll`s house!
It was half the size of its predecessor. I had decided I wanted a tower fan.....but he never discussed it with me...thinking he was being helpful in just ordering a replacement...I cart it all over the place with me...bedroom, lounge, conservatory, even bathroom doorway! It sat on a stool and caused bother when me and wheelie were passing by and its cable caused carers, dog and hubby to trip up!
So I said to send it back and get the tower…at £30…the new daft one was £15…but no, he`d already squished the box, so couldnt take it back.
Anyway the tower fan arrived…very smart…contemporary looking and neat…close to the wall…no stool nor trailing cable.
But has it been on? Has it humbug…been flippin chilly ever since we got it.
Silly new fan has moved in with daughter!
