Altered taste buds ??

I’ve just noticed that my taste of foods has altered after realising that everything tastes bland. After trying various taste tests, I’ve realised that I can only taste really salty or spicy food and have gone from not having much of a sweet tooth, to really enjoying the taste of chocolate.

Has anyone else had a similar change ?

Hi Mrs H… I am finding that I need a lot more spice in my food, also adding a lot of chilli sauce. I’ve noticed a definite change in my taste buds and also my sence of smell. I’m 54 so I don’t know if it’s ms or age!!! Karen
