been away

Hi everyone,

Just got back from a few lovely days break in Somerset, so I am trying to catch up now with everyone’s news.

Weather was a bit hit and miss, but the change of scenery was fantastic.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

Hi Pam, glad to hear your break was good.

Mine soon…11 more sleeps!

Lovely to get away Pam… and Somerset is gorgeous. Hope you recover from the holiday quickly… I’ve been back a week tomorrow and just can’t seem to recover!!! Hey ho… it was still worth going. Pat xx

I’m so jealous, after my house renovations I’m not able to go anywhere for years now. Glad you had a lovely time and Poll I hope you do too. With all the dust in my house I suppose I can make a sand dune and pretend I’m on a beach??

Hi Poll,

I hope you have a lovely time, are you going to Blackpool, I am still a kid at heart, I love the seaside.

Pam x

Hi Pat

We like Somerset, I dont travel so well these days, and that is a lovely distance to go, I just love the seaside, happy to sit and look at it for hours, but hate boats! How ridiculous am I? lol

Tired now mind …but worth It.

Hi Cath

The change of scenery was great, it only takes a little thing to find pleasure nowadays, as my hubby always says I am easily pleased.

Glad your renovations are complete, it will make life easier for you, and who knows, I hope a little break is round the corner for you, hope so anyway.

Dont get over doing things, the dust will wait.

Pam x

Glad to hear you had a nice time Pam

Cath, I’m sure the dust will be worth living with, the benefits will de-stress you in the longer term

Love the 11 sleeps!! Poll

Cath, build them sandcastles, make a kiss me quick hat, a cocktail of your favourite drinks, mini parasol and cherries & drink through a curly straw, listen to seashore noises and close your eyes and be anywhere you want to be!!

Glad you enjoyed Somerset.

Anywhere off the M5, (well, south of Junction 6) is lovely.

South-West rocks.

Hi CPl its strange cos we live in beautiful Gloucestershire (with all the Royals) and whenever we go away its always south, cant remember the last time we got on the m5 and went north, but dont know why.

Pam x

Hi Pauline,

Love the Imagination, will remember that when I next want to visit the sea.

Pam x

Thanks Sonia, I love the sea.

Wessex is obviously ‘in’. We’ve just arrived in Dorset. Cottage not bad. Bathroom facilities usable! Profiling bed awaits very tired Kev. I think it may be too short when it sits me up. Our best friend’s father’s memorial service tomorrow, then a weekend to go to the seaside. Rubbish weather forecast though. Very peaceful here anyway, near Sturminster Newton.

Ps managed the car journey surprisingly well, thank goodness. Kev

Hope tomorrow goes smoothly as possible and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you with the weather.

Hope you both have a lovely weekend

Glad you’ve survived the journey Kev. Love the visuals Pauline. I can’t complain really, I live in the beautiful Lake District, Morecambe bay sands are a farm away, Windermere 20 minutes away, and I can sit at my bedroom window and watch sheep play. Alternatively yes, it can be the sun hat, cocktail and imagination. I don’t need to go away for a break and my house renovations mean that life is much less complicated.

Enjoy your hols everyone, the central heating boiler is new too so I can even wear my bikini on my private beach!!

Hi Cath

Years and years ago we had a holiday in the Lake District, beautiful place, we stayed at the Lakeside Hotel in Newby Bridge and whilst there visited lots of lovely places, it was a lovely holiday, fantastic memories.

You live in a beautiful area Cath, lovely views to look at constantly.

I know I’m fortunate, I love it here, live very near to Grange Over Sands which isn’t far at all from Newby Bridge. It’s a beautiful part of England. I can go out for the day and feel like I’ve been on holiday and come home at night to all the home comforts.
