Arrrrrrrrrgggghhhh.

Just got a call from the hospital to say " my long awaited appointment Monday 19th Sept has been canceled and rearranged into Oct " :frowning: I was desperate for this appointment as I was getting test results to find out what’s going on (I have a working DX of MS), I had a MRI done and if nothing was found on it I was to get a LP done, but they told me “my Neuro found something on the MRI so no LP needed”. I know Oct may not seem far away, but when you are really looking forward to appointments in the hope to get answers and move on, then a few more weeks is just like a kick in the privates (sorry)

Hi Stephen I appreciate it is very disappointing when appointments get cancelled, but hang in there, October if only just around the corner. Take care Pam

Thanks Pam. It is frustrating this is my first time dealing with it, I read on here others don’t get DX for years, so I am lucky in a way. Cheers Stephen.

Bummer :frowning: Sooooooo frustrating - especially since there’s not a lot we can do about it! You could try phoning the neuro’s secretary and asking if it would be possible to know what the MRI results were / what the neuro has concluded. I don’t think they’re supposed to tell us, but some do sometimes. Or perhaps your GP could ask? At least it’s October and not January! Not too long… Karen x

I can totally sympathise, Stephen. Back in June I had a long-awaited appointment for a second opinion cancelled two days before it was meant to happen. It was such a blow. In fact, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back and pushed me to the edge of a breakdown. Sometimes it’s the small things that finally get to you. And last week I found out that my wait to go into hospital for a week of tests will now be more like 6 months than the 2 months I was originally told. Sometimes I don’t know how I can carry on. I know no-one working in the system designs it this way, but at the moment it feels as if no-one but me cares about the impact all this is having. Good luck for the time between now and your rescheduled appointment. Wishing you lots of patience and strength, mandy_c x
